The vision of Jumpstart is simple: Canada, where all kids have a chance to fulfill their dreams.
Jumpstart is a national charity with a commitment to local communities. Organized sports connect kids to their communities. Canadian Tire Corporation recognized this and makes sure that money raised stays where it is donated. Canadian Tire Corporation is Jumpstart’s biggest supporter as it funds all the general administrative expenses of Jumpstart, which means 100% of customer donations go directly to help kids in need.

The Grindstone Award Foundation is a charity that enables young female players to participate and improve their skill development in the sport of hockey. The intent is to provide support to communities across Canada and address the needs of players who have a desire to play but are unable to for financial reasons. The Foundation provides grants to female players under the age of nineteen who have expressed a desire to pursue their goals in athletics. Our selection will be based on financial need and desire, not on hockey ability. It is the Foundation’s intention that all grants will be awarded objectively in accordance with this criteria. |

The mission of the Foundation is to promote good health and physical activity among children and youth, in Ontario, and to mitigate the impact of poverty on prospective young participants. These objects will be achieved by alleviating the prohibitive financial barriers to participation in sports and physical activity for those children in poverty and underprivileged youth who may otherwise be unable to afford participation in such activities. The Foundation provides publicly-available monetary grants based on financial need and without regard to physical ability or natural aptitude for sports generally. These grants cover the costs associated with children and youth playing various sports and participating in physical activity generally. |

KidSport https://kidsportcanada.ca/
|
The reality is that cost keeps 1 in 3 Canadian kids out of organized sport, especially kids from marginalized or remote communities. That’s where KidSport comes in. Through a confidential application process, we provide grants of between $250 - $500 to help cover sport registration and equipment costs so that all kids aged 18 and under can play a season of sport.
