Intent to Play Registration - 2020-2021 Season
Submitted By admin on Tue 08 18, 20
Dear Canadettes families,

We hope that you have all been safe and have had an enjoyable summer.  We first want to thank all the front-line workers who have sacrificed so much and offer well wishes to all those who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.  With that, we realize many of you are eagerly awaiting a return to hockey and wonder what the season will look like.

UPDATE:  The OWHA has just released its Stage 3 Modified Programming Return to Hockey framework.

As we initiate plans to move ahead, we are happy to announce that we have opened our “Intent to Play” registration.  If you are intending to play with the Brampton Canadettes organization for the upcoming 2020-2021 season, we ask that you register as soon as possible.  You will be required to create a profile on the OWHA’s new registration platform known as RAMP.

Once your profiles are created, you and your daughter(s) will be able to sign waivers and codes of conduct including Rowan's Law online, to help expedite the registration process.  Completing this step will allow us to determine our ice requirements and how best to proceed.  Please note:  we will not be collecting any fees at this time.  Fees will be determined later.  Please visit the General Information tab on our Registration page and click on the Canadettes logo to begin.

·Click on "Create one here" and enter an email address and password.  You will then be automatically  redirected to sign into this new account.  Register your player(s) using 'Participant'.

·Add a family member and then enter your player's information

·Choose your division and your package, House League or Competitive (Rep) - If you were planning to  tryout for any rep team please select the Competitive option

·Waivers – Each box must be electronically signed, then select that you are of the age of majority and agree  to the terms and conditions.

·Enter Parent/Guardian/Emergency Contact information.

·Enter player’s years of hockey experience and preferred position.

·Confirm details and submit. This player will be confirmed as registered, and you will get a confirmation  message on the screen as well as a confirmation email.

·If you have another player to register, add another family member under participant and follow the same  steps or select REGISTER from the menu on the left side of the page.

Players need only to register into the division for which they would play based on age group.  As a reminder: Hockey Canada has adopted a new division naming convention (see below).

For your reference: The divisions (age categories) are based on birth year for the 2020-2021 season:

Rising Stars (FUNdamentals):        2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017

U7 (Tyke):               2014, 2015, 2016
U9 (Novice):            2012, 2013
U11 (Atom):            2010, 2011
U13 (Peewee):         2008, 2009
U15 (Bantam):         2006, 2007
U18 (Midget):          2003, 2004, 2005
U22 (Intermediate):  1999, 2000, 2001, 2002

*U18 and U22 players may be combined for HL play.

While we are not certain what the season ahead will look like, as plans begin to take shape we will provide full details on costs and activities.  We are committed to putting in place extensive measures to ensure our players, staff, volunteers and parents are kept healthy and safe.

The entire BCGHA Executive wish to thank you for your patience as we look to move forward.  We know you are looking forward to returning to the rink, and we are eager to see you all again.
